Capilla | crafting personal leadership

About the name Capilla

The name Capilla is derived from ‘capillary wave’. During a walk in a park in The Hague one summer day, a beautiful scene with the park’s stream made an impression on me. Next to the reflection of trees, I also saw circles on the water’s surface. I took a closer look and saw that insects were creating the circles. Their sharp little jumps over the water caused rippling round shapes. You can see a picture I took that day on this page.

Further investigation revealed that the insects in question were called water striders (or pond skaters) and that their leaps cause capillary waves.

Exactly that image is representative for how I see coaching: hitting the core in a safe environment and thus starting a movement that can lead to beautiful results.
